They're flexible on level too. You could be an Audit Senior ready for more responsibility, an Assistant Manager looking for greater autonomy, or an Audit Manager who prefers a less hierarchical environment.

As an Auditor, you'll work with an interesting mix of owner-managed businesses and group structures having day-to-day client contact as you deliver on assignments. The opportunity to broaden your experience beyond pure audit work is also available in support of the firm's wider service offering.

Role Overview

• Lead external financial audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Act as a key day-to-day contact for clients, both on-site and remotely
• Review work, support junior team members and help develop their skills
• Prepare and review financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
• Work across a varied portfolio including owner-managed businesses, groups and charities.
• Gain broader exposure to accounts preparation, tax compliance and business advisory work
• Take on greater client and portfolio responsibility as your experience develops.

The Ideal Candidate

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or operating at a level where your practical audit experience speaks for itself
• Audit experience gained within an accountancy practice, ideally a regional or independent firm
• Comfortable taking ownership of engagements, dealing directly with clients
• Able to review and support junior members within the team
• Exposure to owner-managed business (OMBs) and group structures is advantageous as is experience of charities and not-for-profit organisations
• Commercial, approachable and interested in building long- term client relationships.
