Client Manager (Accountancy)

This Client Manager opportunity in Huddersfield gives you responsibility for your own portfolio, with the chance to lead conversations, explain the figures and help business owners plan their next steps.

You'll stay involved in the technical work while broadening your experience in client advice and team leadership. From discussing annual accounts and tax planning to coaching colleagues, there's plenty of scope to put your knowledge into practice.

As a Client Manager, you'll also have opportunities to improve how work is delivered, supported by senior colleagues when more complex questions arise. If you enjoy taking ownership and helping others develop, this could be your next move.

Role Overview

• Manage a client portfolio, overseeing accounts, tax and reporting deadlines.
• Lead client meetings to discuss financial performance and tax positions.
• Prepare complex accounts and tax computations, and review colleagues' work.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, involving specialists where appropriate.
• Plan workloads, delegate tasks and coach colleagues and trainees.
• Build client relationships and identify opportunities to provide further support.

The Ideal Candidate

• Accountancy practice experience across accounts preparation and tax.
• Confident explaining financial information and handling client conversations.
• Comfortable reviewing work, coordinating deadlines and supporting colleagues.
• Familiar with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or Iris.
• Commercially aware, with a practical approach to solving problems.
