Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including sole traders, partnerships, landlords and company directors.
• Review Self Assessment tax returns along with sole trader, partnership and rental accounts.
• Meet clients throughout the year, providing practical advice in straightforward language.
• Act as the main point of contact, building trusted long-term relationships.
• Mentor and support an Accounts Technician, helping develop their technical ability and confidence.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and identify opportunities to improve client service and internal processes.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of Self Assessment and personal tax.
• Comfortable managing your own client portfolio and building lasting client relationships.
• Experience reviewing work completed by junior colleagues and supporting their development.
• Confident communicator who explains technical matters in plain English.
• Organised, proactive and keen to play a part in the future growth of the business.
