This well established and aspiring accountancy firm provides the rare opportunity to deliver specialist advice to many high-profile clients from within the entertainment, sport and media industries. Due to continuous growth, they seek an Accounts Senior to prepare and submit year-end accounts, tax returns and assist with the development of data for management.
Reporting to the Manager, this role provides great scope with overseeing and liaising directly with clients as well as supporting junior members within the team with their own professional development. This opportunity would be ideal for someone that has the ability to prioritise tasks along with adhering to strict deadlines and develop business relationships.
We are keen to hear from candidates that are either ACCA, ACA or AAT qualified or studying towards, that are technically strong with the ability to adapt and remain updated with compliance standards. A clear pathway of progression is on offer in what is seen as a long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts preparation for limited companies from base records or from fully reconciled trial balances (either internally or externally generated)
- Preparation of consolidated accounts for small & medium groups
- Filing of accounts & corporation tax returns with relevant authorities
- Dealing with external auditor queries
- General assistance with ad-hoc projects (valuations, due diligence, forensic work etc)
- Preparation of management figures
- Liaising with clients as necessary with a view to building own portfolio
- Supporting trainees as appropriate, primarily with technical queries
- Managing workflows on behalf of the managers
- VAT return reviews
What we are looking for:
- Qualified or finalist accountant, ACCA, ACA/ICAEW, AAT or equivalent
- Candidates deemed qualified by experience with current/recent accountancy practice experience will also be considered
- Robust attention to detail with ability to prioritise tasks and communicate across all business levels
- Strong IT skills including Excel, any ERP systems experience (Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero etc)
- Technically strong, keeping up to date with adaptations in compliance standards
