Job Description
We are working closely with a well established firm of chartered accountants, based in Coventry, as they are currently looking for a part-qualified or qualified practice accountant (AAT / ACCA). The position would be ideal for someone looking to progress into a more supervisory role, and who would like the challenge of managing their own portfolio of clients. The successful candidate may receive support to complete their professional qualifications if required.
Responsibilities:
- Experience of preparing company accounts across a broad range of sectors, for companies, sole traders and partnerships
- An understanding of payroll, vat, corporate and personal tax
- Prepare client accounts based on information supplied by client
- Liaise with clients on account queries and other matters as appropriate
- Prepare business tax computations, partnership and personal tax returns
- Prepare corporation tax computations and forms CT600
- Assist with client queries regarding aspects of their bookkeeping and other business matters as required
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA part qualified, qualified or equivalent
- Proven, relevant experience within a public practice accountancy firm
- The ability to work in a team as well as an individual
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritise own time to ensure that deadlines are monitored and consistently met
- Proven organisational abilities and consistent attention to detail
