Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to assist the Financial Director in the efficient running of the Finance Department with specific responsibility for the purchase ledger, petty cash and expense payments.


  • Day to day processing of Purchase Ledger
  • Reconciliation of suppler statements
  • Management of supplier payments
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Processing and payment of expenses in accordance with procedures
  • Processing and payment of petty cash in accordance with procedures
  • To maintain an effective audit trail to support the financial records
  • Coding and posting company credit card information
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all internal and external clients
  • To support other projects and areas as directed by Group Finance Director and Finance Manager

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of purchase ledger and basic bookkeeping
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Being able to demonstrate sound computer skills - use of excel
  • The ability to work to deadlines and adopt a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
