About the Role
Not all Management Accountant roles are created equal. Some offer interesting work. Others offer genuine career progression. This one offers both, alongside a client portfolio that's anything but ordinary.
Imagine using your accounting expertise to support successful individuals and businesses across entertainment, film and professional sport. Clients with fascinating careers, complex financial affairs and a real need for trusted, professional advice.
This is an opportunity to join the fastest-growing division of an established accountancy practice, where you'll prepare management accounts, oversee the quality of work produced by junior colleagues and play a meaningful part in developing the team.
Unlike a traditional industry-based Management Accountant position, you'll enjoy the variety of working with multiple clients, while building valuable relationships and broadening your experience within a specialist business management team.
If you're already preparing management accounts within practice and would welcome more responsibility, greater variety and a clear path forward, this is a career move worth exploring.
Key duties:
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports for a varied portfolio of clients
- Prepare and review VAT returns
- Review bookkeeping work, ensuring accuracy and high standards
- Work closely with client managers to understand client requirements, deliver timely, accurate financial information and identify opportunities to provide additional client support
- Support the training, development and mentoring of junior team members.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience preparing management accounts within an accountancy practice
- Confident preparing VAT returns and reviewing bookkeeping and VAT work
- Qualified by experience or qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification, ACCA / ICAEW, ACA or equivalent
- Familiar with accounting software packages such as Xero, Iris or similar
- Organised, approachable and keen to develop within a growing team.
What's on Offer
- Fully supported professional study towards relevant accountancy qualifications, if desired
- Uncapped career progression into management and beyond
- 23 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with additional leave for length of service
- Enhanced Pension contributions
- Health plan benefits
- Modern Bromsgrove offices with parking provided
- Future hybrid working options
- Ongoing professional development and a relaxed, supportive working environment
- Super exciting client base, genuinely unique!
